Chief Gordon is asking residents to please remember to lock your vehicles at all times. At best do not leave valuables in your vehicles at all as thieves are always on the lookout.

Protect your personal information
Chief Gordon is asking that you protect your personal identity from would be scam artists, who may ask for your personal information such as social security information to obtain loans, and credit cards in your name. These requests may come by phone, mail, or email. Do not give your personal identification to unsolicited sources as it may ruin your credit score. Call the police for help.

Patrol Officer Process

The Westborough Police Department is seeking qualified applicants for the position of full time police officer.  Applicants must be a United States of America, hold an active Massachusetts Driver's License, minimum High School diploma, and be a non-smoker.

Upon notification of written exam results, successful candidates must then submit a cover letter, resume and job application.

 

Only applicants that have been notified by email are to report to the Westborough High School (Joseph R. Mewhiney Field) on April 6, 2013 at 07:30 (am).  Applicants are required to fill out a medical release form found here. 

 

Applicants will be requited to successfully complete a physical agility test and oral board.

 

All appointments are subject to a physical and psychological examination as well as a background investigation.

Out Of State Vehicle Registration is illegal
If you know of a resident of Massachusetts that registers his or her vehicle out of state illegally, please contact Sgt. Peter Goodney  by emailing him here  
The law MGL 90 S. 9, 30 day limit for resident to operate out of state vehicle.
A vehicle may not be operated by a resident of the Commonwealth for more than 30 days, in the aggregate, during a calendar year, unless it is registered in Massachusetts. This prevents a Mass. resident from using a vehicle that is registered out of state for more than 30 days.
This is done to avoid tax and registration fees. MGL 90 S3 1/2
